The Development Award for the best infrastructure project was presented to Innovative Medical Technology Centre Technopark for building a medical technology park in Novosibirsk Region. Dallesprom received the best industrial project award for building a comprehensive timber processing plant in Amursk, Khabarovsk Territory, with its own logging operations. Avtotor Holding received the award for the best comprehensive local development project for establishing and developing the automotive industry in Kaliningrad Region over the 1996–2020 period. The award for the best small and medium business project went to OFK-Cardio (Kaluga Region) for developing and commercialising an innovative product: immune-chromatographic test strips for diagnosing heart attacks.
Congratulating the winners, Mr Ivanov said that the authorities are giving priority attention to sectors such as comprehensive regional development, strengthening national infrastructure, and developing SMEs. Mr Ivanov also said it is important that such projects receive not only state support but also support from the professional community and civil society.
The Development Award is a professional award given to companies and individuals for their services in carrying out major programmes of national importance that make a significant contribution to Russia’s social and economic development. The Award was established by Vnesheconombank and is presented once a year.
