Taking part in the working group meeting were representatives of the State Duma, federal and regional executive bodies, public organisations and the teaching and expert communities.
Primorye Territory Governor and head of the working group Vladimir Miklushevsky informed the meeting participants on the work to draft the group’s report, which is to cover such areas as updating the curriculum and ensuring a single educational space in general education, the development of general education mechanisms and technologies, priority areas of staffing policy and mechanisms for its implementation in the regions of the Russian Federation, as well as the creation of up-to-date learning environments at schools.
During the drafting of the report, the editorial group received more than 150 proposals from working group members. They also analysed the findings of international research into general education, considered the results of the implementation of the Education priority national project, as well as a comprehensive project for the modernisation of education and a project for the modernisation of regional general education systems, drawing up 15 examples of successful regional practices.
Comments made in the course of the discussion will be incorporated in the final text of the report, which is to be presented at the third meeting of the working group.
