Speaking at the meeting, Igor Levitin noted that private investment via public-private partnerships and concessions is one of the ways for developing health resort facilities.
The meeting was attended by Minister for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov, representatives of federal and regional executive government bodies, national public organisations, and the expert community.
The working group that included over 60 specialists was headed by Altai Territory Governor Alexander Karlin who informed the meeting participants about its goals and tasks in preparing the report.
The meeting discussed the condition of the country’s health resort facilities and strategy for their development. It was noted, in part, that Russian citizens have been much more interested in domestic recreation recently, which is an incentive for improving health resorts and developing tourist and treatment centres.
