During the meeting, the working group participants discussed reports submitted by the Treasury of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring and the Anti-Monopoly Service on ways to develop government controls over budget spending through budget monitoring and treasury oversight of state contracts.
Representatives of the Federal Taxation Service, the Investigative Committee and the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring reported on measures to counter illegal financial transactions related to organising and carrying out gambling activities online and using other communications means.
The participants also reviewed challenges related to levying execution on property arrested as part of criminal investigations into economic offences, based on analytical materials presented by the Deposit Insurance Agency, the Federal Taxation Service and the Supreme Court.
Specific instructions and recommendations were issued to federal government agencies following the meetings with a view to streamlining interdepartmental cooperation and information exchange, as well as drafting proposals on amending certain legal norms.
