The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Fayzullin, regional governors and representatives of federal executive bodies.
The participants discussed preparations for a State Council Presidium meeting On the Strategy for the Development of the Construction Industry and Housing and Utilities until 2030 with a Forecast up to 2035.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin noted that to resolve the ambitious task set by the President – to comprehensively resolve the housing issue for the first time in Russia’s history – it is necessary to maintain consistency in the construction industry and the housing and utilities sector. This will make it possible to provide people with affordable high-quality housing, contribute to increased demand for Russian industrial enterprises’ products in related industries, facilitate import substitution and, in general, exert a tangible, positive effect on the regions’ economies, employment and the incomes of millions of people.

The draft Strategy for the Development of the Construction Industry and Housing and Utilities until 2030 with a Forecast up to 2035, and a draft report prepared following the discussion will be proposed for consideration at the State Council Presidium meeting.
