In his opening remarks, Dmitry Mironov noted that Cossacks were actively involved in the special military operation: they are fighting bravely, and sending humanitarian cargo. According to the Presidential Aide, special attention should be paid to targeted social work with the relatives of deceased Cossacks. He emphasised the atamans’ personal responsibility for each Cossack participating in the special military operation.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Yury Chaika, and Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, Chair of the Synodal Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church for Cooperation with the Cossacks, delivered welcoming remarks to the participants of the event.
Nikolai Doluda, Ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society and State Duma deputy, presented his report on Russian Cossacks’ participation in the special military operation. Ataman of the Union of Cossack Warriors of Russia and Abroad Nikolai Dyakonov elaborated on the report.
Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, presented proposals for working with Cossack organisations in the new Russian regions.
A representative of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service updated the participants on efforts to involve Cossacks in protecting the state border.
Deputy Director of the Federal National Guard Service – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Sergei Lebedev reported on the work of the Russian Guard with the Russian Cossacks.
State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Culture Alla Manilova reported on the implementation of the President’s instruction to create the Central Museum of Russian Cossacks.
Relevant resolutions were passed following the meeting.
