The meeting was attended by Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yelena Fastova, as well as representatives of the leadership of a number of Russia’s constituent entities, relevant federal executive authorities, industrial unions, expert organisations, and development institutions.
In his opening remarks Igor Levitin noted that the key trends in the agricultural sector’s development were, as before, its consistent technological modernisation and digital transformation, responsible use of Russia’s rich land and water resources, and the creation of an effective model for interaction between science and the agricultural industry.
Viktor Tomenko spelled out a set of goals facing the Commission and the federal executive authorities with regard to preparing for a State Council Presidium meeting.
The meeting participants discussed current challenges facing the sector amid the highly volatile situation in international relations and the global economy.
An editorial group was established to prepare materials for the State Council Presidium meeting.
