Taking part in the meeting were Director General of the Russian Export Centre Veronika Nikishina, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilyichev, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia Vladimir Chistyukhin, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Maxim Topilin, and representatives of federal executive authorities, Russian regions, the expert community, and businesses.
The participants in the meeting discussed the draft report On the Development of Foreign Trade in the Current Conditions prepared by the working group.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin noted that the President of Russia prioritised the task of expanding cooperation with prospective partners from friendly countries and developing the necessary infrastructures. To achieve this, it is important to establish priorities for foreign economic activity and determine the contributions of federal and regional authorities.
Alexei Teksler and Veronika Nikishina presented the main points of the report and proposals for developing the export potential of Russian regions, which were prepared by the working group.
The meeting participants discussed the materials presented and other topical issues related to the development of foreign trade in the current conditions. The proposals developed during the meeting will be included in the report of the working group.
