The participants exchanged views on the contents of the national project passports, as well as the process for forming and harmonising them. The outcomes of the discussion will be taken into account during preparations for a meeting of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, during which the results of work on new national projects will be presented to the President.
“The Government will be the one to implement the national projects in conjunction with the regions, which primarily presupposes working on the ground,” Mr Dyumin said. “Benchmarks and parameters of the country’s development over the next six years are being defined now. I am aware that the end of the year is always a very busy time for heads of regions. Nevertheless, I urge the chairs of the State Council commissions to keep up the pace and to continue working as a team. My position remains unchanged: the interests of the regions must be taken into account when making any federal decision.”
Earlier, Vladimir Putin included the heads of the State Council commissions in the project committees for drafting national projects as deputy chairs. Over the past two months, the national project passports were reviewed during the State Council commissions’ meetings, at the project committees, and during the Government’s strategic sessions.
