Members of the Council discussed issues that might be included in the agenda of the Council’s upcoming session, which will be attended by the President.
Deputy Chairman of the Council Karen Shakhnazarov noted that the Council’s top priority is to provide the President with a comprehensive review of the situation in the sector, along with objective information about the problems.
Among topical issues the meeting participants noted the preservation of best traditions and the development of a three-stage cultural education system, expanding cultural cooperation with BRICS countries, perpetuating the memory of heroes of the special military operation in literature, cinema and dramatic art, addressing issues related to children’s literature, protecting children from destructive content, and popularising folklore and folk art among the younger generation. They also discussed the need to compile a list of cultural heritage sites and landmarks that have been affected by Ukrainian military operations in the regions of the Russian Federation.
