The Government has been instructed, in particular, to amend the legislation concerning the development of comprehensive medical, social, and psychological-pedagogical services for children with health problems and their families, children without parental care, children from families at social risk, as well as issues related to the supply of medicines and healthcare products for children with chronic ailments and in need of regular medical treatment or substitution therapy, regardless of whether they have a disability or not.
The Government has been instructed to include research on children’s health, including prevention of disabilities, in the long-term fundamental research programme.
Instructions to the Government and the regional executive authorities concern the gradual expansion of the neonatal screening programme and perfecting the teenage suicide prevention programme.
The Government, together with the authorities in the Republic of Crimea, have been instructed to draft a package of measures to develop health resort facilities and services in the town of Yevpatoria specifically for children’s holiday and health needs.
