The meeting was attended by National Council members, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Labour, chairmen of councils for professional qualifications, representatives of employers, trade union associations, and scientific and educational organisations, and representatives of the National Agency for Qualification Development.
Deputy Science and Education Minister Lyudmila Ogorodova talked about the results of updating the Federal State Educational Standards (FSES) based on professional standards.
Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) Yaroslav Kuzminov noted that the FSES system should develop more dynamically to keep pace with the needs of the labour market.
General Director of the National Agency for Qualification Development Alexander Leibovich spoke about the Register of Independent Assessments of Qualifications and how it works. The register helps monitor the development of the national qualifications and qualifications assessment system.
According to Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Chairman of the Council for Professional Qualifications of the Financial Market Alexander Murychev, the register has been successfully put into operation.
Alexander Shokhin added that the register is a mirror showing the work of professional qualifications councils, so it is essential to update the register in a timely manner.
