Taking part in the meeting, via videoconference, were Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Deputy Chairman of the Council Yury Chaika, Chairman of the Russian Orthodox Church Synodal Department for Relations with the Cossacks Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, as well as deputies of presidential plenipotentiary envoys to federal districts, representatives of federal and regional government bodies, atamans of Cossack societies and national Cossack associations, and Russian Orthodox Church clerics.
Ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Vitaly Kuznetsov presented a report summing up the results of implementing in 2024 the Russian Federation State Policy Strategy Regarding Russian Cossacks for 2021–2030. Ataman of the Union of Cossack Warriors from Russia and Abroad Nikolai Dyakonov reported on certain results of efforts by Cossack volunteers in the special military operation zone.
The Council members discussed draft State Policy of the Russian Federation for educating and training cadets, as presented by Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevsky presented study guidelines and materials for teaching the history of the Russian Cossacks at higher education institutions.
Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Nationalities Nikolai Doluda reported on the results of a national opinion survey regarding the population’s attitude toward Cossacks.
Deputy Minister of Culture Andrei Malyshev provided an update on efforts to create an exhibition for the Central Museum of the Russian Cossacks.
Corresponding decisions were made following the meeting.
