Following a meeting on financial sustainability in the agriculture sector on September 21, 2010, the Russian Government was instructed to analyse the situation with stocks of grain and its processed products on the domestic market once the harvest campaign was over, and draft proposals on the expediency of maintaining the embargo on the export of some types of grain.
On October 20, 2010, the Government issued the Resolution On Temporary Embargo on Export of Some Types of Agricultural Goods from the Russian Federation Territory, introducing a temporary embargo on the export of some types of grain from January 2 to June 30, 2011.
