The Government has been instructed to draft proposals for putting in place a programme for translating literary works from the languages of the different peoples of Russia into Russian; and from Russian to Russia’s other languages, as well to foreign languages.
Instructions to the Culture Ministry concern, in particular, encouraging theatres to stage works by contemporary Russian authors, supporting creative debuts by young directors, choreographers, conductors, and stage designers, and giving backing to different kinds of contemporary art, including by establishing experimental creative venues and platforms in the regions.
