“From its inception to the present day, Children’s Literature has played an important role in educating the younger generation concerning morality, justice and creativity. It has offered children solid moral, aesthetic and spiritual guidance. The titles of your publications are distinguished by a truly encyclopedic breadth: from Russian to foreign classics to the best works of contemporary authors. You are celebrating your anniversary during the Year of the Family in Russia. Good children’s literature has always occupied an important place in our family life. At one point Konstantin Paustovskii said to an audience of children: ‘Read! Don’t let a single day of your life go by without reading at least a page of a new book!’ These words could serve as a motto for your publishing house, which has for many years now opened up for its young readers the fascinating and beautiful world of literature and learning.”
