During the upcoming talks, the Presidents of Russia and Serbia plan to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral ties in all key areas of cooperation, particularly in priority areas such as trade and energy, including the implementation of the strategic South Stream project.
Russia is one of Serbia’s leading trade and investment partners: bilateral trade exceeded $2 billion in 2011, increasing by 42.5% against 2010. From 2003 to 2011 the total volume of Russian investments in the Serbian economy exceeded $1.5 billion.
In addition, the meeting will address topical issues on the international agenda, including stability in the Balkan region.
