Congratulations to foreign heads of state and government

Vladimir Putin sent Christmas and New Year congratulations to foreign heads of state and government and executives of international organisations.

In his congratulation to President of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab Ankvab Alexander Ankvab Alexander , Vladimir Putin expressed his hope that the two countries will continue strengthening their bilateral partnership to safeguard peace and security in the Caucasus region and reaffirmed his readiness to grant Abkhazia continued support in every respect.

Mr Putin believes that the two countries can use the existing achievements to move forward in various spheres.

The Russian leader stressed that Russia and the US have always been and will remain natural allies in countering present-day threats and challenges of international terrorism, organised crime, drug trafficking, and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. President Putin expressed his hope to frankly and openly discuss the said issues during the official visit of President Obama to Russia in 2013.
