The President said that Sergei Mikhalkov’s creative work and achievements are of great significance in Russia’s history. Mr Putin discussed the anniversary celebration plans with the poet’s family. In particular, film director Nikita Mikhalkov spoke of the plan to place a monument to his father by the house on Povarskaya Street in Moscow, where the poet lived and worked.
