The subjects on the agenda included the socio-economic situation in Russia and current international affairs. The meeting’s participants exchanged views on the efforts underway in preparation for the Geneva 2 conference on settling the Syrian crisis, and also on Russian-US relations with regard to preparing planned top-level bilateral contacts.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov, and Chief of the General Staff of Russia’s Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov.
