The President will hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who will be in Russia on an official visit.
Priorities for the Russian-Indian strategic partnership in trade and the economy, culture and humanitarian ties will be among the subjects of discussion. Mr Putin and Mr Singh will examine prospects for joint projects in the energy sector, especially in nuclear energy, and in aircraft manufacturing, engineering, telecommunications and the financial sector. They will also exchange views on current international affairs, including the situation in Syria and Afghanistan.
The talks will end with the adoption of a joint declaration and the signing of several bilateral agreements, in particular on expanding cooperation in energy efficiency, biotechnology, technical regulation and metrology.
