In particular, the President inspected a new model pedestrian crossing that has been equipped for people with low mobility. Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov explained how the new system works.
Mr Putin also visited the Sochi Art Museum, where he saw an information stand with a braille display and visited an exhibition by artist Olga Khrisanova, Touch the Picture, designed for people with partial or complete loss of sight.
Talking with Mr Craven while visiting the museum, the President said he hoped that the Sochi Paralympics will “calm down all the emotion over Ukraine”.
“The main thing is not to have it all affect the athletes, so that they can concentrate on the competition,” Mr Putin said, adding that he met the previous day with the head of Ukraine’s Paralympic Committee.
