Mr Putin and Mr Litvin discussed bilateral political and economic cooperation issues.
Mr Putin said he was satisfied with the level of the political dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, but expressed concerned over a slowdown in bilateral trade.
The President also noted the need for a rapid settlement to the renewed problem of restructuring and repayment of Ukraine’s gas debt.
