Mr Pochinok told the President that the able-bodied population of the country was growing, with an increase of 1.7 million people in the last six months.
When answering the President’s question about growing unemployment in the last several months, the Minister said the reason was due to unemployed people in the Chechen Republic who were only recently registered. Over 100,000 unemployed people were registered in Chechnya, and they received allowances.
In general, Mr Pochinok said the unemployment rate was decreasing and at the moment was less than 6 million people.
