Alexander Rumyantsev informed Vladimir Putin about the preparations for the autumn-winter season and efforts to ensure the safety of nuclear facilities.
Mr Putin and Mr Rumyantsev discussed Russia’s cooperation with Chinese and US atomic agencies. Mr Rumyantsev said Russian specialists were still building the Tianwan nuclear power plant in China. Moreover, Russia is supplying part of the equipment for a fast reactor also being constructed by China.
Mr Rumyantsev said Russian-US cooperation was also quite active.
The President and Mr Rumyantsev also discussed construction of a North Korean NPP with US, Japanese and South Korean assistance. Russia is not involved in the project.
