The leaders discussed the future of bilateral trade and economic and fuel and energy cooperation, including supplies of Russian oil and natural gas to Bulgaria, their subsequent refining at facilities, including those established with Russian assistance and transportation to other south-east European countries. Georgi Parvanov also said his country was interested in expanding power-industry cooperation.
Mr Putin and Mr Parvanov discussed other aspects of practical cooperation and agreed to instruct the heads of the joint inter-governmental commission to expedite their work.
