The discussion focused on cooperation with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States in security and the war on terror.
Mr Putin underlined that recent events confirmed the need for joint efforts in combating that evil.
The President indicated that it was necessary to work out concrete mechanisms of joint work that would help find and neutralise terrorists. The head of state called upon the participants in the meeting to find such mechanisms of cooperation and propose them for further discussion with the CIS partners.
