Dmitry Medvedev stressed that Russia is ready to fulfill its commitments and resume deliveries of gas following the conclusion of a treaty with Ukraine.
Dmitry Medvedev informed Mr Parvanov on the current situation concerning the delivery of Russian gas to Europe, the outcome of his talks with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, and the conditions necessary for the resumption of gas deliveries to Ukraine.
In turn, Georgi Parvanov voiced his concern about the interruption of supplies of Russian gas.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the agreement reached today to establish a mechanism for supervising the supply of gas to European countries with the participation of EU observers.
The presidents also discussed the current state of Russian-Bulgarian relations as well as Mr Parvanov's forthcoming visit to Moscow.
