A prominent conductor, founder and permanent head of the Moscow State Academic Chamber Choir, a man with a wide-ranging personal history, one that is worthy of respect, you have earned credibility and recognition from your colleagues and many students. Your unique team has made a valuable contribution to strengthening the richest traditions of Russian song and has helped revive an entire layer of our culture, that of Russian religious music. Many religious works by Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Taneyev and other famous composers were first heard when performed by your choir.

The head of state issued a decree awarding Vladimir Minin the Order of Merit, a Russian state award. The outstanding musician was honoured for his outstanding contribution to the development and preservation of the best traditions of Russian choral art and his many years of creative activity.
