Speaking at the award ceremony, President Putin noted that border guards of both countries were at the cutting edge of the joint struggle against the terrorist threat, illegal migration, everyday crime, drug trafficking, and all forms of organised crime.
The President said that Russia regarded Belarus as one of its key partners in addressing the global issue of countering and neutralising threats in the world today.
