The event was held at the Hotel Bristol and proceeded under the motto, “When Russia was speaking French: Paris-St Petersburg, 1800–1830”.
The legendary Hotel des Invalides would host an exhibition of early 19th century Russian and French art from the Hermitage, the Kremlin museums and the State History Museum. The exhibition would last three months.
