“Russian economic forums have become a good tradition and part of Russian-British relations.
“Six years ago, when the forum was only starting, the Russian and British business circles were getting acquainted with each other. Now we are on the threshold of a thoroughly new stage of bilateral economic partnership. The leading British companies have made decisions or are finishing drafting decisions to invest billions in the Russian fuel-and-energy complex. This is indicative of the British business mood and encourages other tentative investors.
“We expect the 6th Russian Economic Forum to contribute to the strengthening and development of positive trends in bilateral trade and economic contacts and promote the implementation of new lucrative initiatives.
“I wish that the forum participants will keep the pace of their previous work and further enrich the ample experience of Russian-British partnership for the sake of both nations.”
