The talks took place on board the Silver Whisper cruise liner moored at the English Embankment in the city’s centre.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the level of Russian-Indian cooperation achieved in recent years. The Russian President noted the successful joint naval exercises in the Indian Ocean.
He thanked Atal Bihari Vajpayee for attending the celebrations of the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg.
