Speaking at the celebrations, President Putin congratulated all fellow countrymen on the holiday, and wished them prosperity, happiness and good health.
The official part of the holiday began at noon. Representatives of all the country’s 89 regions marched through Red Square and theatrical performances took place. A demonstration flight by 10 Su-27 and MiG-29 fighter jets from the Swifts and Russian Knights aerobatic teams ended the festivities.
