One aspect of the electrical energy is cause for particular concern – in a number of regional energy commissions for 2004, an increase in tariffs is planned which is higher than the level designated by the Government as the limit, the President said. But according to the deputy prime minister, before the Government meeting on 14 August 2004 a decree will be prepared indicating the maximum levels of tariffs for 2004, and no regional energy commission will have the right to change them.
One of the most important tasks in reforming train transport is the creation of the company “Russian Railways”. The government has already confirmed the list of organizations and assets which will be included in the main capital of the new corporation. “Russian Railways” will be able to start work in October this year.
