The decree orders all executive authority bodies to provide international sanctions against Liberia stipulated by the UN Security Council’s resolution.
The resolution renewed for one more year and extended the international sanctions against Liberia. They include: the embargo on the export of rough diamonds from Liberia, a ban on supplies of any weapons to it and travel restrictions for Liberian high-ranking officials. The UN Security Council added a new 10-month ban on the export of all kinds of round timber and timber products from Liberia.
