Russia is interested in the joint development of Kyrgyzstan’s natural resources and broader cooperation in industry and agriculture, Mr Putin said.
He also said that Russia was ready to strengthen interaction with Kyrgyzstan in implementing joint targeted programmes and investment projects, notably in the fields of transport and energy.
President Putin stressed the need to develop business contacts between the regions of the two countries. By now, about twenty Russian regions have shown interest in such cooperation. Restoring the traditional links is a priority.
The Kyrgyzstan-Russia investment forum was devoted to attracting Russian capital into Kyrgyzstan’s economy.
