Mr Putin and Mr Kasyanov discussed the tragic accidents at Russian mines in the Rostov Region and the Far East. President Putin ordered the Government to assess the situation in the national mining sector.
Mr Kasyanov told Mr Putin about the results of the meeting of the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Community nations and said they had adopted guidelines for the community’s work until 2006.
