The message reads in part:
“Ibero-American summit meetings are an important mechanism of interregional dialogue and interaction that helps to assert the principles of multilateral cooperation in international affairs. That is particularly relevant in present-day conditions when the international community is uniting to tackle the global tasks, and when a new world order is being formed. We are all equally interested in that order being just and democratic and ensuring the prosperity and wellbeing for all the countries and peoples.
“Russia and our Ibero-American partners share their common desire to promote and strengthen multilateral institutions, above all enhancing the central and coordinating role of the UN and its Security Council as the main universal instrument of peaceful resolution of conflicts, the maintenance of stability and promotion of economic and social development. We value the constructive interaction our states have forged at the United Nations and we intend to continue building it up.
“Russia has accumulated valuable experience of cooperation with Ibero-American states. I am convinced that its further expansion will contribute to the cause of peace, security and progress.”
