Talking of the significance of the Constitution, Vladimir Putin noted that since it was passed, Russia has become a truly federal nation, guaranteeing equal rights to all Federal subjects, while retaining the traditions of regional diversity.
The President stressed that on the basis of the Constitution of 1993, a mechanism was developed and is in force for bringing regional legislation into accordance with federal legislation. It is thanks to the Constitution that full legislative work of regions has become possible.
