The participants discussed the current social and economic situation in Russia. The President said that doubling Russia’s GDP, curbing of inflation and raising labour productivity were necessary for achieving the main goal – resolving social problems.
Mr Putin said he believed that doubling Russia’s GDP was a realistic goal. At the same time, he noted that the Government should prevent a slowdown in economic growth rates; they must be increased despite any difficulties.
The President told the Government about his visit to Kazakhstan.
