They discussed a wide range of problems of bilateral partnership and international issues—in particular, strategic stability, nuclear non-proliferation, combat against terrorism, development of Russian-US trade and economic cooperation and joint space exploration, Russia-NATO relations, and the situation in the Middle East, the Korean Peninsula, Iraq, Moldova and Georgia. As they exchanged opinions on Georgian problems, the Parties considered prospects for Abkhaz settlement and discussed military bases in Georgia.
