Taking part in the meeting were President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, and Secretary General of the CSTO Nikolai Bordyuzha.
The leaders of the CSTO member states approved the decision to establish the Collective Rapid Reaction Force and adopted the organisation’s budget for 2009.
The next CSTO summit will take place in Moscow in June 2009.
