The participants focused on the district’s social and economic development and the situation in Chechnya.
The President noted some improvement in the situation in Chechnya and pointed to the need to fix things in the republic’s law-enforcement agencies. If this task is implemented, this will make not only Chechnya, but the entire Southern Federal District more attractive to investors, the President said.
President Putin introduced Vladimir Yakovlev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Southern Federal District, to the heads of its members.
