During the meeting the President stressed the need to enhance trust between NATO and Russia. For its part Russia is ready to do everything to develop these relations in a positive way.
The Russian head of state reaffirmed Russia’s unchanged attitude to the problem of NATO expansion.
Life shows that its mechanical expansion does not allow it to effectively counteract the main modern threats, the President noted. However, every country has the right to choose how best to ensure its security.
