This policy should take into account today’s development conditions in Russia and also the particular geopolitical, economic and defence significance the northern regions have for Russia, the President said.
Comprehensive development of all aspects of the northern regions’ infrastructure – transport, energy, communications and information systems and the housing and utilities sector – must become a strategic priority.
