The President noted that Russian and foreign specialists have qualified the work carried out by the St. Petersburg metro builders as unique.
Mr Putin said he hoped the reconstructed metro line would serve the city for a long time yet to come.
The President thanked the metro builders for the courage and conscientiousness they showed in what was often risky work.
