Young people are learning how to make the most of these three countries’ potential in order to realise very bold and ambitious plans, President Vladimir Putin said at the opening of the Friendship-2004 International Youth Festival.
The President noted the immense part that unity of the different peoples played in overcoming adversity during the years of the Great Patriotic War.
Mr Putin said it was deeply symbolic that this youth festival is taking place where the borders of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus meet.
