10 heads of CIS member countries watched the races, along with the heads of the Russian Government, the President Executive Office, and the heads of regions, who had earlier attended the State Council meeting.
The winner was the bay stallion Akbash, representing the Krasnodar Region. 12 horses from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan took part in the races. Nine of them represented different Russian regions, including the Chechen Republic.
