The President of Russia announced that he had signed a decree to confirm the composition of the Presidential Council for Facilitating the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Institutions.
The Council includes 36 representatives from various Russian non-governmental organizations. Mr Medvedev appointed Ella Pamfilova, the head of the All-Russia civic movement “Civil Dignity”, as chairperson of the Council.
Priority tasks for the Council were discussed during the meeting.
